Legend Memory is a brand operated by Favs HQ, Inc. In this policy, "Legend Memory", "we" and "us" mean Favs HQ, Inc.
Your privacy matters to us. Legend Memory built its wearable device and companion app to help you remember more, while keeping you in control of your information. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and what rights you have.
Information we collect
When you use Legend, we collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and payment details for paid features. We also collect technical information such as your phone model, operating system, browser type, and app settings, and usage data such as timestamps, app interactions, and session activity, to help us improve reliability and performance.
- Audio metadata captured by your Legend pendant or phone's microphone while the feature is on (including voices of people near you).
- Voice samples and voiceprints: short samples you provide so Legend can recognize your voice or a contact's voice, plus the mathematical voice model created from them.
- Content Legend creates from your audio metadata: transcripts, summaries, recaps, tasks, goals, facts, and people.
How we use your information
We use this information to provide Legend: to transcribe and summarize audio metadata, recognize speakers, create tasks and recaps, answer your questions, sync your pendant, send notifications, provide support, keep the service secure, and improve Legend. We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party AI providers
To provide the service, Legend sends audio metadata, voice samples, transcripts, notes, tasks, chat messages, uploaded files, contact names and live voice to these providers: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, ElevenLabs, xAI, Meta, AssemblyAI, Deepgram, Soniox, Hume AI, pyannoteAI and Picovoice.
Each provider has agreed in writing to protect your data at least as well as this Privacy Policy, use it only to provide the service to Legend, and not train their models on it. More detail is on our How Legend uses AI page.
People whose audio is included
Your audio metadata may include other people's voices and information. If someone wants their information removed, they can contact us at [email protected].
Security and retention
Transcripts are encrypted both in transit and at rest. You can delete a single transcript or your entire history in the app at any time. If you export your data, it remains encrypted during transfer. If you close your account, your stored data is permanently deleted within 30 days. If your device is lost or stolen, your transcripts cannot be accessed without your login and authentication. We perform regular security audits, enforce strict access controls, and monitor for vulnerabilities. If you believe you have found a security issue, contact us at [email protected].
Audio metadata is deleted after it's processed, usually within 2 hours and never later than 30 days.
How we share information
We only share information when necessary. This includes trusted service providers who help us operate, such as cloud hosting partners and payment processors, or where required to comply with legal obligations or government requests. If Legend is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, and we will notify you before any changes take effect. When we use third-party AI providers to assist with transcription or summarization, requests are routed with your data anonymized, used only to provide that service, and never used to train their models. Third-party providers operate under zero-day retention: any temporary copy is deleted immediately after processing and is never stored as a lasting third-party copy. We may share anonymized, aggregated data such as overall usage statistics, but never in a way that could personally identify you.
Your rights
You may access, download, correct, or delete your information at any time. You may restrict or object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA. Residents of the European Union, United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions with privacy laws have rights to portability, objection to processing, and other safeguards. Australian residents' personal information is handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988. Children's privacy
Legend Memory is not intended for children under 18. If you are between 13 and 17, you may only use Legend with verifiable parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and if we become aware that we have, we will delete it.
International transfers
If you use Legend outside the United States, your data may be stored in the U.S. or in other countries where we operate. We apply appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your information across borders in compliance with local regulations.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services evolve. If we make significant changes, we will notify you in advance by email or in-app alert.
